What’s new in version 7 of Altaro VM Backup?

Recently Altaro released a new version of their product and I decided to share it with you as this version provides some interesting features.

Inline Deduplication and Boot VM from Backup are the most interesting and important features because both impacts to RTO and RPO. When we want to have better RPO (using backups), we have to do backups more often and deduplication is a feature helping us to save storage (costs). Boot VM from Backup provides better RTO as we can boot a Virtual Machine directly from a backup location (at the same time, in the background the VM backup is restored back to the hypervisor as well as any new changes made to the booted VM).

Definitely a new version is worth taking a look.
